We had 6 women in town with a Mom's weekend away. The staff was extremely accomodating of all of our requests. They fit all of us in and arranged the schedule so that we would all be finished about the same time. Since we were all doing different packages, this was quite an accomplishment.

All 6 of us had a terrific time which I think says a lot about the overall quality of the spa. The baths which you could do with a friend or significant other were terrific. And then I went to my own spa room in the main house for a massage, foot reflexology, and facial. My therapist couldn't have been nicer or more professional. I couldn't believe that 3 hours had flown by.

And I would have thought that I was lucky to get her. But in talking to my friends, I found we were all equally pleased.

I'm going back with my husband and daughter. I think it's wonderful, relaxing, and unpretentious. I highly recommend the Lavender Hill Spa.

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I vsited Lavender Hill Spa. We both really enjoyed it. The couples bath was great. The bath attendent was so sweet, and truly pampered us. And after having a couple of kids, being alone and pampered doesn't happen too often. Then we both had 60 minute massages. Both of the therapists were wonderful. My therapist checked in about pressure and really focused on the areas that were tight. She was very nice and polite. My husband enjoyed his as well. He looked super relaxed afterward. The spa is small and private, you can feel that staff like their jobs and really care about your experience. After the spa, we walked down to the Calistoga Inn for lunch. This is also a really great place. It was a perfect day for my husband and I. We will be back!!! Whenever the lovely grandparents want a day with the kids.

I have been to Lavender Hill Spa serveral times; with my husband, daughter, and friends. And each and every time I have loved it.
When you first walk in, you are greeted by a wonderful desk staff, who check you in and answer all questions. They are always fab on the phone too!! Then you are greete by your bath attendent and taken to your private bath cottage. That are very charming and cute. The bath attendents take wonderful care of you, bringing you water, facial products, and cool compresses. They have always been very sweet and respectful. Then you cool down on soft tables, listen to relaxation music and get a light foot massage. This is the perfect way to relax after the bath, and cool off before your massage. Having the whole hour with your parnter is a major plus. My husband and I have been to many spas where you are seperated by gender and I don't get to see him till all the treatments are over. And having time to visit with my daughter, who lives in Ca, is very special. So, after that comes the massage.
I have always been very happy with the massages. The therapists are always great with pressure and style. They are all different and fab in their own way. I have never felt uncomfortable and have always felt safe. The street noise can be heard in the massage rooms, but the service is so great it has never really bothered me. It's not like it's a big city or anything. Every massage I have received there has been wonderful and the therapists have great intention and really care about their clients.
I live in Florida and my daughter lives in the North Bay, I visit often and we always make a trip to Lavender Hill Spa. The spa, and the town of Calistoga is great. I wished Lavneder Hill could be in Florida, but at the same time it is a very special time for my daughter and I. Keep up the wonderful work you all do there.
EVERYONE IN THE NAPA AREA SHOULD CHECK OUT LAVENDER SPA!!!

I went the Lavender Hill Spa with my husband as part of our Honeymoon in Northern California. We intended to start the day off with a couples massage, and then head to the wineries.

I get massages regularly as part of my yoga practice, so I didn't think twice when they told me on the phone when I made my appointment that they only had one male and one female masseuse (sp?). It was my husband's first massage, so I opted to give him the female, and I took the male.

Upon arriving at the spa, we were greeted by both our masseuses (sp?). His was professional-looking with a clean appearance. My was definitely not. Body odor, messy clothes, and I think he was even wearing eye makeup. I didn't feel right about this, but kept along with it trying to keep an open mind, remembering that we are in "hippie"-ish Calistoga.

We both got undressed, and onto the tables, and our massages started. I tried to relax, but my therapist kept breathing heavy. At one point he even moaned. Gross! Then he started knocking "himself" into the table. I picked my head up, and gave him a look to let him know that I thought it was weird, and he did not stop.

When he finally put his hands underneath where the towel was covering I had had enough. That's a "massage therapy no-no." I picked my head up a second time and said "What are you doing?" With that my husband picked his head up - and realized there was something wrong. The therapist then told me defensively that it was his first day on the job and he was a little nervous.

With that, I told him that it "wasn't working for me either," and that I wanted him to leave so I could get changed. After that, I just felt dirty - My eyes were welling up with tears, and when he saw that, he ran out of the room, leaving both of us with a very apologetic female therapist.

The female therapist offered to get the manager, but then instead returned with her business card - telling me she was unable to see us. Later that day (and the next) I called and left messages for the GM, but she never returned my calls.

I did get my money back for the massage, but that's neither here nor there. They are lucky I didn't press charges as far as I'm concerned.
