Used to stay here since it was the only hotel in Westwood. They let you know they were the only choice. Not so great service. Employees have an attitude.

My husband, mother and I stayed at this property for my daughter's UCLA law school graduation. We had requested an early check in and were given our rooms at an even earlier time than requested. The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. As Starwood members we were given an upgrade on one of our rooms to a beautilful, large suite, which was perfect for our needs as we were able to have a little pre-graduation celebration.
The hotel is situated extremely close to the UCLA campus, and it made it easy to get to the ceremony. My only complaint would be that their complimentary car service, which delivered us to the campus, stopped running at 5:00 and we had to call a cab to get back to the hotel, but that was a minor inconvenience. All in all the hotel was perfect for our needs and made a memorable and exciting day even better.

I had been here already a few times a few years ago before the renovation of the rooms and things are going better. Room was big, hip and comfortable. Staff is professional, although things went a bit wrong at check in and check out, and although trying to act cool, not snotty whatsoever. The Thirtynine restaurant is nice, the pool area a bit small. Location is ideal if you want to be central in LA, although nothing is going on in this neighbourhood. Prices are reasonable if you look at the quality. In general: a good choice for travellers that feel young.

Let me start off by saying that things were malfunctioning in our room, i.e. cable, a/c, etc. but because of their very gracious and wonderful staff I will go back again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They couldn't fix the problems, but the did more than make up for all the issues.
About the room: I stayed in a corner room suite. It was really roomie and nice. The temperature of the room was preset. There was mood music playing as well. The bed was super comfie! The bathroom left little to be desired but everything else was awesome! I didn't get to partake at Bliss Spa, but I did stop in and buy some product! The location of hotel is in the heart of westwood. The area was in a nice residential area, and you didn't get any of that UCLA party stuff. Overall, its your typical W starwood hotel experience. Hip, awesome, blah blah blah..

PS. Did I mention that the staff was awesome?????? Cause they were.
