We stayed at the Pier House for four days in the SPA building. Our room was fantastic...fireplace, comfortable bed, large bathroom and a nice balcony. Everything was in working order. There is remodeling/construction work on the property but it never interfered with our activities. The best thing about Pier House is the location...at the end of Duval Street. Close enough to all the action but quiet and secluded. It also has its own private beach that is very nice in addition to the pool and hot tub. We only ate at the restaurant once but the food was very good and the price reasonable.

The only complaint is that internet access in the room has a $10 a day charge. There is however a public computer available.

Overall, we had a great time and would recommend staying here. We will when we come back.

The Pier House was all it said it would be and more.Although pricie the place was just wonderful.All of the people who worked there were just so nice and helpful and the guy at the towel both was really cool, always remembered our room number.Great view of the sunsets and clean beach area.

I haven't left home for a vacation in 7 years and wanted to go somewhere pretty and beachy to read, relax, swim, eat, sleep and shop. I also wanted a place with enough action to appeal to a 21 year old son and 18 year old daughter. After surfing the net for 3 weeks and reading the reviews, I chose Key West and Pier House. WOW! We stayed for a week and loved every minute! The location is for you if you want a glorious view of the Gulf and Sunset Key, sandy beach with a large private swimming area, pool, beachside bar and restaurant, secluded feel, family friendly, attentive staff, comfortable clean rooms and prompt, friendly room service. As if all this isn't enough, the use of the fitness room and hot tub at the Spa is free! We also splurged and had a massage which you must do when you go. It is worth every penny you have saved for this vacation. If you don't want to eat all of your meals at the resort (which are delicious, by the way), just walk out of the resort onto Duval St, and the restaurants, bars, shops, access to water sports, and museums are right there! Yes, the garden view rooms are undergoing renovation, but it didn't bother us. We had a Harbor View room and it was quiet. So, don't let that stop you. I would like to go back to Key West and stay there again. Maybe next time it will be a girl's getaway:)

This is really late, as our visit was March 9,2008. We traveled from Key Largo to Key West with our two 7 year olds to stay in a double bed room. The room was ok for just staying overnight. The room's decor was outdated. The crown moulding bothered me, but that's just me being picky. We had stayed at another resort which is much lower in the ratings, but we thought it was much better than the Pier. Stayed across the street before at another location and LOVED that place. This suited our purpose for being in the middle of the action, but I was definitely not impressed enough to stay here again.
