This hotel was located on the Gulf of Mexico side of the island so the view was great. The room was a bit small and cramped, had older style carpet was overall fairly clean. The staff and management was always willing to lend a hand or an ear, eagerly answering questions or concerns. On the downside, our bathtub ran very slowly so, as you showered, water would begin to stand rather than drain properly. We were always short of towels but a quick call to the front desk always provided relief within a few minutes. They also have a nice pool out back with a Tiki bar (nice touch). We paid about half to one-third the going rate of the ritzy hotels on this key and got what we paid for, however, if you are simply looking for a place to lay your head after a day's actvities I would highly recommend it.
