My husband and I had a truly wonderful time at the Island City House (and we're both pretty picky.) Our suite in the Cigar House was not extravagant, but clean and spacious. The staff did not have exhaustive knowledge (e.g. they did not have a bus schedule for me to look at) but they were very kind and genuinely friendly. The pool is not large, but clean. Breakfast is very basic (everything is store-bought) but is certainly adequate. I would gladly stay there again and recommend the Island City House adults of all ages. The friendly hotel cats are a bonus, too.

Overall, this was an outstanding choice. I highly recommend it for its quiet atmosphere, cleanliness, friendly staff, and proximity to the Waterfront and Duval St. My only possible negatives were no workout facilities (it's often too hot to run outside unless you're an early riser), Folgers coffee at breakfast (the coffee was terrible), and a little bit of mildew in the shower (but less mildew than my shower at home!).

My boyfriend & I recently stayed at the Island City House Hotel for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Since we arrived after the office closed, the management left our key in an envelope for us at the front office. We stayed in the Arch House studio suite on the 2nd floor. It had a comfortable bed, nice bathroom & kitchenette. It also had a great balcony that overlooked the street. Each morning there was a breakfast buffet on the patio, which was convenient because we had a few early morning trips planned. The landscaping was beautiful (very tropical). The office personnel were very friendly & helpful, always willing to assist in whatever way they could. The location of the hotel was convenient as well. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't get back in it until it was time to go home because we were able to walk everywhere. It was only a few blocks to the marina & Duval Street. All in all, we had a great experience and highly recommend it. We can't wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at The Island City House. We made an excellent choice...Our 3rd floor room in the Cigar House was perfect, roomy and very comfortable with pleasant decor. The kitchen/living area was equipped with everything needed to settle right in and the balcony overlooking the pool was a relaxing place to be. Breakfast each morning in the garden was a treat and you couldn't find a nicer setting to begin your day, very peaceful. We had a great time in Key West and enjoyed meeting really nice people at the hotel.
The parking situation isn't the best, but we were always able to find a spot, although it was sometimes a couple of blocks away. This would not keep us from visiting this hotel again though, as the ambiance of this place makes up for the inconvenience in a big way. We highly recommend The Island City House and hope to visit again.

We stayed for 2 nights in the ICH 2 bedroom suite and the room was wonderful. Granite work tops, lovely wooden furniture and really clean. The private porch was lovely to relax on after walking about all day. It was really hot and so the pool was lovely for cooling off. The breakfast was really nice in the courtyard setting although they could do with another couple of tables. This wasn't a problem though as you could take breakfast up to your porch to eat if you have one. Key west is lovely. The old houses are really nice to look at sitting on the tree linjed streets. ICH is close enough to the action on Duval street but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle! Would def recommend.
