First to start the downward sprial of our visit to Doral: We were quoted a price and told we would receive a $25. gift certificate for each night of our stay, we were guaranteed a king size bed--both WRONG!!! The gift certificate was for 1 night only and only on a weekend night, (we were staying during the week) the reservation woman made a mistake, when we arrived they had no king size beds and we were told we would have one the next night, we were never even contacted by the front desk regarding the matter for our 3 night stay. The staff was VERY UNFRIENDLY. We ordered from the coffee place 3 different times and never once was our order right and they never even said they were sorry. When I booked my spa I was told the treatment was $130.00 and when it was time to go to the spa they called the room to inform me they no longer had the treatment I requested but had something like it but the cost would be $160. When it was time to check out, we called for a bellman and after waiting 25 minutes and calling again, we loaded our own car. With all the above problems, don't you think at least someone would have been concerned with our problems??? Seems not!!! We had wanted to stay at this resort and never had the chance so since it was our 30th anniversary, we thought it would be a great place to stay---boy were we wrong.
We ONLY stay at Marriott properties and they are always above and beyond our expectations, but someone really dropped the ball on this one.
