Worldquest Resort is literaly a hidden gem in the middle of Disney World. The best way to get there is to take the first right once you get off I-4 and see Nickelodeon Hotel on your right. You will drive through the side street and see infront of you the entrance to WorldQuest at the end of this road.
At the entrance there is a security gate, which is manned by a guard up until 9pm. After that, the gate is usually open. However, the area is so secluded and safe. Our condo was in building 600, which definately was a walk to the main clubhouse, pool, and gym. There is a continental breakfast offered in the morning, which was limited to cereal, bagel, danish, juice, and milk. We stayed for 3 nights in a 3 bedroom condo, which was a great value for the space. The room includes 3 bathrooms, screened patio, kitchen, dining room, and living room. The kitchen had all utensils needed to cook including plates and silverwear. The sofa in the living room had a pullout bed. Overall, the cleanliness of the room, space, and service was EXCELLENT. The employees were also very friendly and accomodating.
Regarding the $12 resort fee, it is stated on a brochure given to you at the time of check-in. Many people have complained about this, but it is per diem and not per person. So essentially if you had 4 people in your party, you are only paying $12 for everyone. Another negative opinion I have read regards the distance of some condos from the pool. This is a small inconvenience as most people staying there are probably in Orlando to visit the parks and not the pool.
Worldquest is located in an area where there is limited eating places. However, there is a Super Wal-Mart close by and Downtown Disney is literally on the otherside of I-4, which offers restaurant, shopping, and nightlife. The resort is close to Disneyworld and a 10 minute drive to Universal Studio, Sea World, and Wet N' Wild. On the next exit from WorldQuest going east on I-4 is the famous Premium Outlet where you can save alot on high end designers and treated to an amazing shopping experience.
My tip to all vacationer is to book your reservation on their website www.worldquestorlando.com. It was less than booking it on Expedia, Travelocity, or other travel sites. Also, rooms that may not be available on the travel sites is actually available on the home site for Worldquest. However, booking on the weekends can fill up quickly as we saw the place increase with guests by Saturday. The price for a 3 bedroom condo at the time of booking was $159 a night versus almost $200 when compared with Expedia and Travelocity for a 2 bedroom condo at Worldquest. We definately had a great time in Orlando during our trip in July '08 and would have never accomplished this without the great value, friendly employees, and proximity to the parks from Worldquest Resort. BON VOYAGE!!!
