The chain of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is home to five main airports and one smaller private airstrip, with the E.T. Joshua Airport in Kingstown, on St. Vincent, being the largest. All five of the airports are serviced by flights from various other Caribbean destinations. Thus getting to the islands from North America and Europe will likely require a transfer at Barbados, St. Lucia, Puerto Rico or other larger airport. Flight times to the island however are short, ranging from about 35 minutes form Barbados and about two and half hours from Puerto Rico.

From the airports taxicabs and rental cars are available, as well as shuttle bus service to many of the resorts. These services are located in the arrivals terminal near baggage claim areas.

The city of Kingstown also has a natural deepwater harbor that can accommodate two oceangoing ships at time. There is regular cruise line service from major ports in North America, Europe and throughout the Caribbean.

There is also ferry service that connects the various islands. A full schedule is available on the St. Vincent and Grenadines Tourism Web site, but schedules are subject to weather and other local conditions. Consult the Web site for fare information and departure times.
